Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 1 August 2026. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using our website or booking catering and event services with Sri Ranga Catering Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or engaging Sri Ranga Catering Service for any catering or event arrangement, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. About Our Services

Since 2005, Sri Ranga Catering Service has provided authentic South Indian catering along with complete ceremonial and event arrangements for weddings, religious ceremonies, and family functions — including catering, seer varisai and tamboolam essentials, traditional nadaswaram & thavil music, kolam decoration, wedding garlands, and related services, based out of Madipakkam, Chennai.

3. Enquiries & Booking Confirmation

  • Submitting our website contact form or messaging us on phone/WhatsApp is treated as an enquiry, not a confirmed booking.
  • A booking is confirmed only once we have mutually agreed on the event date, menu/services, guest count and pricing, and received the agreed advance payment.
  • Final guest count and menu details should be confirmed with us a reasonable number of days ahead of the event, as agreed at the time of booking, so we can plan purchases and staffing accordingly.

4. Payment Terms

Payment for a confirmed booking is collected in three stages:

  • 10% of the total amount as an advance at the time of booking confirmation, to reserve your date and services.
  • 70% of the total amount to be paid at least 30 days before the event date.
  • The remaining 20% to be paid on the day of the event.
  • Prices quoted are based on the menu, guest count, and services discussed at the time of enquiry; any changes to these may affect the final price.
  • Payments should be made only through the modes agreed with us directly.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we do accept cancellation requests. However, since we begin purchasing ingredients, materials, and ceremonial essentials for your order as soon as it is confirmed, refunds are handled as follows:

  • Cancellations must be communicated to us in writing (email or WhatsApp) as early as possible.
  • The refund amount will be calculated as the amount paid by you, less the cost of items, ingredients, and materials already purchased for your specific order at the time of cancellation.
  • Any items or materials already purchased for your order will be handed over to you, where applicable, in addition to any refund due.
  • For services fulfilled through third-party vendors and resources (such as vathiyam artists, flower decorators, photographers, and other resource persons engaged for your event), we follow the cancellation and refund policy specified by that particular vendor, and the same policy applies to you. Any advance paid to that vendor on your behalf is refunded to you only to the extent the vendor refunds it back to us — we are not able to refund an amount the vendor does not return to us.
  • The earlier a cancellation is made, the lower the purchases already committed are likely to be, and the higher the refundable amount.
  • No refund is payable for the value of services already rendered or work already carried out on the day of the event.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate event date, venue, guest count, and dietary preferences at the time of booking
  • Inform us in advance of any food allergies or special dietary requirements
  • Ensure venue access, water, electricity, and any permissions required for us to set up and deliver services
  • Any damage to our equipment or materials caused by the client or their guests, beyond normal wear, may be charged separately

7. Changes & Substitutions

Where a specific ingredient, item, or vendor is unavailable due to seasonal or market conditions, we may substitute it with an alternative of equal or better quality, and will inform you where reasonably possible. Requests to change a confirmed menu or guest count are accommodated subject to availability and advance notice.

8. Force Majeure

We will not be held liable for any delay or failure in delivering services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or otherwise resolve the matter with you.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability in connection with any booking is limited to the amount paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for issues arising from the venue, weather, or third parties not engaged directly by us.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Sri Ranga Catering Service and may not be reproduced or used without our prior written consent.

11. Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and not to misuse our contact form, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt the normal functioning of the site.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
